What is The Backrooms original photo?
The Backrooms original photo was a single eerie picture uploaded to 4chan’s /x/ board by an anonymous user in May of 2019. The backstory was added as a comment by a second anonymous user:
“If you’re not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.
God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.”
Are The Backrooms real?
No, The Backrooms started as a creepy internet meme on 4chan in 2019. The idea was so compelling it grew traction, inspiring fan fiction, collaborative wikis, computer games, and a host of YouTube content.
Can you escape from The Backrooms?
No. You can only journey deeper through other levels of The Backrooms and try to survive. You may find food, resources and colonies of humans living on some levels, even WiFi, but no one has made it out alive. (Some people claim they have, but these claims are widely contested).
Are there monsters in The Backrooms?
Yes, there are hundreds of creatures known as “entities” in The Backrooms, including Smilers, Windows, Deathmoths, Hounds, Facelings, Growlers, Partygoers and Skin-stealers, to name just a few of them. Most will try to kill you. They are classified by their implicit danger on a scale of one (1) to seven (7), where one = “Not Aggressive”, and seven = “Danger: Mythological”.
What is the monster in Kane Pixels' Backrooms videos?
The monster featured in Kane Pixels’ videos is not one of the existing entities in Backrooms lore, but rather a new creature introduced by Kane Pixels. It is called “Bacteria”, and is thought to be a colonial organism made of a mutated strain of “hay bacillus”, (the bacteria found on the corpse of Nicolas Bolton).
Can you survive in The Backrooms?
Yes, the question is for how long? The main threat on Level 0 is dehydration and starvation. There is no food or drink to be found on Level 0. Unless you were lucky enough to have brought supplies with you, your only hope is to find your way onto Level 1. Here crates will randomly spawn containing food and bottles of almond water, as well as other supplies such as batteries, tarps, weaponry, medical supplies, assorted car parts and even live mice. There are also several colonies and human outposts on Level 1, but as the expanse is so huge, (millions of miles), the chances of meeting up with other humans are very slim.
